About me

Hello. I'm Kelly Parker. I live in Suffolk just a few miles away from the coast (lucky me) in a town called Halesworth. I started my career as a Graphic Designer at a local Publishing Company. They taught me everything I know and I was lucky enough to work on local and national magazines and newspapers, as well as for private clients. I also penned editorial and gained invaluable experience of the printing and design industry over the 8 years that I worked there.

In October 2017, I made the decision to launch my own brand Kel Creative - and here I am!

I work with all kinds of individuals and businesses big and small, from local sole traders and small businesses up to larger agencies such as Town and County Councils, The Broads Authority, Coastal Partnership East and The Churches Conservation Trust. I design small stationery items such as business cards and flyers, right up to large scale exhibition boards and multiple page brochures, roller banners and signage and banners. I also design branding and logo's, often for new businesses and packaging. As a small business myself I totally understand the constraints of small budgets and short deadlines. My contacts in the printing industry mean that I can also offer very competitive printing prices.

Having an interest in graphic design and the ever-growing digital world, prompted me to do a course in website design so that I could offer my client base a broader range of options for their business. Since then, I have learnt on the job and honed my skills to create many brilliant and functional websites for clients including ecommerce.

In early 2016 I founded the all female networking group - Halesworth Women in Business, the group grew to over 400 online members and up until the COVID-19 pandemic met on a monthly basis (not all 400 members!) as well as communicating through a Facebook page and holding annual events. The Group provided support, advice and valuable networking opportunities to business women in the local area and I thoroughly enjoyed being involved with such enterprising local ladies.

In 2022, I also expanded my business to offer printed goods such as t-shirts, hoodies and tote bags - something my clients had often asked me about. I screenprint, and I also use heat transfer vinyl. Please visit my sister site for more information - Print it Up Halesworth.

When I'm not designing stuff, you will often find me out and about with my children and husband exploring Suffolk in our beloved caravan, Anneka the Challenger.
